Why Astronomy

Astronomy is the study of the universe and everything in it.

Through astronomy, we can understand where we came from, where we are going, and how physics works under conditions which are impossible to recreate on Earth. We seek to answer some of the most fundamental questions about our existence.

Fact to know: astronomy has led to many technological advancements, such as satellite technology, GPS, and high-resolution imaging.
